Default Classic impreza problem

Hia guys can somebody help me or get me some useful info because i've tried possibly everything and does't help at all...

So the problem is that i've changed turbo on my classic impreza sti 1997 for td05h 16g i 've also changed exhaust manifolds and decat downpipe...
But the car seeems to be running on three cylinders when started and it sounds like it's missfireing...and after while it cuts out...so i found on forum that it might be a water temperature sensor..which i changed today and it still has same problem...i also changed throttle idlde valve just in case...

i didn't try lambda or maf so that might be the problem...or remap..just get me some info please cause i'm lost....cheers

if you changed from a td04 to a 05 itll need mapping.

It's a 97 sti so I would expect it had a vf23 fitted.
OP, did the misfire start after the turbo was replaced, did you replace the turbo or did someone else do it?

Tony

Ps, it would require mapping.

well i've had td05h stock turbo, but i swapped it for bigger 16g...but i don't think that causes the problem...cause when car worms up it drives pretty good...problem is when its cold...that's why i though it's temperature sensor...

If its a 97 sti you will need aftermarket ecu to get it mapped, you cant just plug a later one in (99/00) as it wont work.

If its doing this I would guess its gone onto safe mode.

Is the CEL light on? Or does it come on and go off at all?
