Just a quick one?!?
Recently bought a 06 plate hawkeye wrx sti ppp and just wondered if its normal for the engine fan to kick in intermitently even from cold. I start the car and after the about 30secs its kicks in for around 15secs then stops, then repeats the cycle. Car seems to be running fine so any advice would be appreciated to put my mind at rest. Thanks

interesting one, i have a hawk sti and it doesnt seem to use the fan unless driven hard, could be down to simply i live up north and its inherently colder. What does the outside thermostat say the temp is, ifs its not real hot maybe a change of fluids is required but iam not expert. Also hows the fins on ur rad, bent etc?

Hi. I have a gb270 , had it from 56 miles, now 3067miles, my fan comes on within about 30 secs of starting, just as the car is coming out of the garage. Just thought it was normal.
