Check your radiator for leaks. I had some similar problems recently and i was thinking the worst (headgasket) but it turned out to be a leaky rad. It was hardly noticeable but can cause all sorts of air lock problems.

Check all the hoses are tight, run it up to normal temp and have a look under it while its running. You can also get your rad pressure tested at a garage if in doubt. Have a look at the other threads on here, do a search, there is a correct way to fill your coolant system to avoid air locks. Hope this helps.

Check the plastic Sides on the Rad my rad was cracked here below the top hose on the side but only blew out when the car was on boost and ended up with coolant all over the place at the front drivers side of the engine bay. Fitted a new rad and it's been fine since.

fill the header tank till its 3/4 full.Leave the cap off run the engine at 2000rpm holding the throttle cable with your hand using a clove as it gets hot. When the engine warms up wait till the thermostat opens and the water in the header tank may rise but if you hold it a 2000rpm it should not overflow make sure you keep topping it up as you dont want it to run dry, then wait till the fan kicks in fill the header tank till its full replace cap and then check top and bottom hoses they should be warm.

By header tank blown what do you mean? If you have the plastic header tank and it leaked coolant from the edges, that's fine, they do it all the time. Replace it with a metal one and you should be good to go.

Never had this issue so not sure if it can be fixed. I imagine a strip of rubber and some silicone sealant might do the trick since the metal header tank can be disassembled.
