Default Timing belt interval??

Hi all,

Just a quick one, I had the timing belt changed at 44k and have now done 71k. So just wondering when the next change would be?

Cheers

I believe it is every 5 years or 50k whichever comes first.

i would advise you to get all the pulleys changed if you have it done again, i was told that the pulleys can fail therfore doin just the belt would be no good, ive just had mine done £500 later, machanic told me that one of the tensioners was seizing up so good job, just a bit of advice.

Since the changes are so far apart I'd have to agree with millsy.

Yep getting mines done at 91k miles and looking to get belt, pulleys and idlers changed. Was last done in 2006 at 46K with the Belt and Idler changed. So it's the 5 years rather than mileage.

Full kit can be picked up for around £200 and then find someone to fit who is competent but has a nice cheap hourly rate

That's exactly what I'm planning to do as well
