Default TURN BACK SRS FUSE!!

Hiya im new to this site and just wundered if anyone has the problem of the 15 am fuse behind the coin tray in a 98 scooby blowing once every few month!

came to it today when it has blown again and it has blown 7 fuses. i know its naughty but i tried a bigger fuse and blew them straight away too. its the number 18 fuse a 15 amp and its really doing my head in now as i cant find out what is wrong.

hope someone can help as it disables my alternator from charging the car too along with a few other bits like indicators and headlight washers ect....

Don't put a larger fuse in!!! And, if you do and it blows then you've got a problem, most likely an electrical short - maybe a wire has chaffed and is shorting out on the chassis. Get it to someone who know car electrics.

Rubbed and worn away the cover exposing the wires, like large people have chaffed legs from walking a lot as their legs rub together lol.

if you've got a multi meter set it to ohms and put one lead in the load side of fuse and the other side to earth and test for a short in the circuit. if there is no short it could be a loading issue with what ever circuit the fuse controls.
when fuse is removed what on the car doesnt work?

i dont have a multimeter but ill get one off my bro in law on the little fuse chart it says TURN BACK SRS. turn and back i dont have a clue but im sure srs is for the air bags but i have taken out every fuse and it still blows. done god knows how many test and checks and blown about 30 fuses now and feel like crying.

as the car is now it runs its the less important things like the headlight washers, front and rear fogs, elec windows, elec mirrors, indicators (hazards work), and all the dash dont work apart from the open door light and the imobiliser light. can only start engine a few times now and not sure how long it will run for as battery only says 8v now but will still start.

could do wi someone coming to see me very cheap lol as i only have 3 quid and cant go work till car is done as its a workin car
