Default turbo replacement?

A uk classic running 440cc injectors,fmic,induction kit,full de-cat+stainless manifolds,vf23,ecutek map producing 300bhp.

What would the sensible choice be when replacing the turbo and having a comfortable power output of 330bhp, vf28?

Your existing VF23 should get you to 320-330 when mapped.

will have been mapped to what is considered safe, might be worth a phone call to find out why was mapped to that.

Could be the TMIC limiting power (but it should be good for 320-330 I would have thought). Injectors should get you to 325-340 bhp too.

The mapper probably mapped it safe i.e. a decent margin below the detonation threshold. Just a thought.
