Default Need advice from scooby nuts..

My engine went on friday she threw a leg out of bed. She was jumping and holding back whilst on boost in first gear and then she blew. My question is what should i do now? i can either try get my own engine rebuilt or put a new engine in i can't sell the car now coz itl owe me too much money.

Shes a 96 wrx jdm v-limited. Can an sti engine be fitted to my car with an sti ecu and loom etc?? I want to use a diff ecu as im afraid the one i have is faulty which would explain why she was jumping in first gear. If im going to keep it i want to do whats best and may aswel upgrade the engine if its possible..although money is tight at the minute but iv been offered an sti complete engine wit loom etc for a grand....Basically what would you do in my position?

What's the condition/mileage of the engine you got offered for a grand?
If it's no good, then you could waste a grand that could have been put towards rebuilding the one you already got.

To assume makes an *** out of U and ME.

Get it in writing, what warranty he will give on the engine, if any, and if it will include removal/replacement if necessary, and any work that needs carried out.

How does this sound: V8 STI bottom end with V3 heads? The company are going to stand over the engine for a year..
