Default Walbro Classic fitment

Hey all,

I have just got a walbro for a classic, I bought it off someone on here I have a question about wiring.

The blue red and one black wire is already in the connector plug, however there is one black wire coming from what looks like a black solanoid which is not connected to anything. There is one black wire from the solanoid connected to the plug already.

Does anyone know where this loose wire connects too

here is a pic but it is not very clear

correction, the blue wire is from the solanoid, the red is from the top, they are both connected, then the black one from the solanoid is not connected.

It looks like it may have been connected to the same side of the plug as the black from the top

IIRC it was spliced to another wire using that blue scotchclip.

Was it spliced to the other black wire do you know? It does look like it may have been but not 100 per cent sure.

Again thanks for the quality parts

There should only be two wires going to the pump itself. The black box thing and associated wiring can be removed. I am removing mine later to check the sock hasnt fallen off so ill double check my wiring.

The little black thing is a capacitor it was fitted in line with the pump supply to stop power surge when the pump starts up. You don't really need it i run without one for years

At turf moment there is a red one from the plug and the blue wire from the capacitor going to one side then a black wire going to the other. I think the other black wire from the capacitor joins the black from the top just need confirmation
