Default New 22794AA010 MAF difference

Hi all,

Had a new MAF delivered today from Ebay - advertised boxed as new bought in error and it certainly don't seem to have been fitted.

But after removing my unit from the car I noticed a difference in that the 'new' one has a large V shape resistor type thing on the the flat face - opposite the face that has the moulded gel blank. Noe does it have the green stripe

Is this correct ?

The car certainly seems to drive better & has a deeper sound when planting the loud pedal.

Thanks in advance,

I've had this with a few maf which I have bought. I just think that some of the subaru ones are the same as the original design (with resister as you say and no green stripe) and the other ones have no resistor but a green stripe.

I'm guessing some places may have old stock, as both me and my friend who have bought between us nigh on 15 sensors over the past years have had a mixture of the two.

Both operate exactly the same, and have exactly the same part number.

Thanks Spooks,

Put my mind at rest - I was thinking it was an aftermarket one put into the genuine box and I know what aftermarket ones can do ! (or not, I should say !)
