Default fitting a coolant sensor

hi what do i have to remove to fit the above to a 94 wrx , the car has a front mount ,
i did a search and the only pic i found show it with the intake manifold removed.
any help would be grateful cheers j

It's on the rear of the coolant crossover pipe, which itself is located at the top-rear of the block. There are two sensors next to each other: large one is the ECU's CTS (small one is dash's temp gauge sender).

Can you be a bit more precise as to what you are trying to do?

Are you wanting to fit a new coolant sensor?
If so, which one, the gauge, or the ecu?

Are you fitting a DIFFERENT sender where the gauge one is?

sorry chap , i need to fit a new one for the ecu as mine is knackered cheers j

Ah.........then follow instructions above: there are two, the one YOU want has three wires, not two.
