Default Exhaust Advice - MOT

I have a 3" full de-cat system and now its MOT time.

I'm thinking about sourcing a standard centre CAT and backbox then getting a 3" flange welded to the "centre to downpipe" flange to match up to my 3" downpipe flange.

Has anyone done this or is there a simpler solution?

Car is a 98 type R.

Cheers

Rich

I agree with Gonzo. I have 3" straight through, no CATs and it sailed through the MOT.
Can't say where that was on here but it can be done.

Where are you based... write that and then someone might PM you and tell you where to go. Its silly that people have to change exhausts for 1 day and the MOT guys know we all just change them back - so some now have an arrangement - cough cough.

I just change the downpipe for mine each MOT. Less than an hour each change and goes through no problem.
