Hi all

before i buy a new Alarm ECU would anyone know the location of the ECU as im going to have a go at changing the relay thats making the indicators stay lit.

i have posted before and someone posted its under the dash but someone else posted its under the wiper arm cover.

cheers, mines a bugeye and just been told again its under the wipersso i will just check there first before ripping the dash out

you wont find the alarm control unit under the scuttle panel, its behind the dash board.

Im pretty sure you dont need a reprogram as ive read of some people just disconnecting it to stop the alarm going of for no reason.What part do you need the control unit or the alarm unit? thats proberly where the confusion is.If you change the control unit you might need a recode where as the alarm unit you dont.The alarm unit on a bugeye is definitely under the wipers the control unit prob dash.

well i need to find which bit has the relays in that controls the indicators as im going to try and replace them

I would have thought thats the actual alarm under the wipers as the control unit in the car just activates the alarm on or off while the alarm unit does the rest as far as i know.

erm could do with some alarm guru to confirm which bit does what but thanks for your help

yea agreed buddy, so looks like the glove box is coming out and the soldering iron lol
