Default Mot friendly, quiet, 3" exhaust for blob eye?

Im sick to death of swapping downpipes for the yearly mot. Last year i even bought a race cat downpipe for 300 after failing and having to put the std back on again.

Now one year later i've failed emissions again (co fast idle at 0.511, everything else ok).

What 3" system will definately pass an mot year after year without any faffing about/friendly mot place? I just want a plain standard mot

Additional requirement is that it has to work with a 6 speed gearbox, which i believe the revolution 3" dp doesnt clear.

Half thinking of going custom, but if i can avoid the faffing about (will take ages for me for sure), then thats all the better.

Another requirement is that it cant be too loud for any uk track. My current setup measures 82db at 4.5k revs and i want something similar.

Ive got a GGR exhaust- full 3 inch system with sports cat that passed fine. Its also fairly quiet.- Might be slightly louder on yours though with the unequal length manifold.

Ive got the lateral headers, so it doesnt buble (much) anymore anyway

Will check the prices of both. I'll have a stiff drink and sit down before enquiring about the ggr one

The Miltek sport system is very good but does need to get hot before passing (consider heat wrapping the Downpipe) - make sure you get the 3' system not the cheaper and more commonly available 2.75 version.

Oh and sit down when getting the price, and have a glass of something strong to hand!

Look on Litchfield imports or Powerstation for prices - the system was developed for the type 25s

We see cat equipped cars that fail mot's all the time. Very often a run on the dyno fixes it! They tend to get clogged up and need seriously heating up to work. As said, try carefully wrapping it.
