Default smokey maybe ?

Hi

Think i probably know the answer but wanted to see what you guys think

car seems to puff a bit of blue smoke now and again
Seems to be after its been sat ticking over for a bit and I only notice when i pull away or reverse i can see it puff a tiny bit of blue not even every time tho !
Ideas ??

Sounds like turbo seals on their way out.I take it it boosts normally.. which turbo?

urgh ! thats what I thought .. boosts really well it's a VF35 on a blobeye sti PPP

could also be valve stem oil seals, what do your spark plugs look like

valve stem seels ! don't know about the plugs, haven't investigated to far yet kinda putting it off until i have too

If its the turbo, its not an expensive fix unless you take it as an excuse to upgrade.... Best of luck either way

Out of interest what is the fix, a new replacement turbo or can your repair the turbo seals?

I'm not sure you can repair the VF35. Replacements can be had for around £250 to £350
