I've bought a leather interior for my MY99 wagon and was wondering how easy....or not....they are to swap over? I can't imagine it would be that difficult but I've thought that before and been very wrong!!

 

Its easy mate there's 4 bolts on each front seat an 2 on the rear base an i think there's 6 on the fold down part

Fronts: when REfitting bolts, do each up only finger tight, moving the seat base around until they WILL screw in by hand. DO NOT apply any force to any bolt until all are in, or you run the risk of stripping the bolt threads. They are the easiest bolts to strip I've EVER come across.

Rears: remove seat squab first, two, maybe three, bolts along front face.
Once that's out you'll see the bolts at the base of the rear holding it in place, remove and LIFT rear to detach it.
If it has folding seats, fold forwards to see the bolts at the top.

 

Chers for that Alcazar, gives me a bit better idea....I know what I'm like with things going **** up! Just colour coded a set of folding mirrors I bought and the painting didn't exactly go smoothly!!

 

I got mine done for £25, money well spent

 

Ah B**locks....wish you hadn't told me that.......the paint alone cost me more!!!

 

Just luck, really, I approached a spray-shop for a quote and he had some paint made up left over from another job, so cheap. I'd already done all the prep-work myself.
