Hi guys,
I'm trying to install my Mocal sandwich plate with stat.
If I keep the original oil cooler, it's very hard to install the plate due to the exhaust manifold.
If I remove the stock oil cooler, I think it would be easier. In this case, should I block the water lines or put a hose between them so I keep the circuit ?
Any pictures with sandwich plate installs ? Both with or without the stock oil cooler so I can figure it out how to install them ?
thanks,
Mihai

why r u fitting a sandwich plate is it for aftermarket oil cooler or for oil temp gauge, if it is for the latter, then you will get a more accurate reading in the oil gallery just under the intercooler by piston number 3
ok i get ya now, although i don't know how hot your country is but when i fitted mine i took it of after a week as it worked so well the engine temp was affected while driving on motorways, so much the engine temp dropped right down to minimum, and that is not good for these engines ideal if your doing hard fast track days or you live somewhere it is red hot all day everyday

it has a built in thermostat so it keeps it cool only when it overheats.
I lost 2 engine by now due to oil beeing to hot and thin and spun a rod bearing everytime.
do you have a picture with the sandwich installed ?
