Temp gauge not working???

Default Temp gauge not working???

Hi guys my Greddy engine temp guage has stopped working!! are you able to tell me where the sensor would be located so i can check to see if its loose or damaged.

thanks guys

its a GC8 MY95 WRX STI

Depends on how the previous owner fitted it mate.
Either on a sandwich plate above the oil filter under the engine, or there will be a temperature sensor above the cylinder (number 3 I think) under the intercooler - you'll need to remove the intercooler to get at it.

Is it a WATER tempeature, or OIL temperature?
If it's the latter, then Bugeye_Scoob is right.
If it's WATER temperature, look next to the existing water temperature sender on the front of the block, facing upwards, behind the oil pressure sender, just behind the alternator.

thanks guys its the oil temp/engine temp one i will have a look under the intercooler and oil filter over the weekend to see if i can find it!!
