no the 20g is much bigger, you need to go down to a td04 if the lag on a 16g bothers you

its for my engine build, alot of people say the 20g is really laggy is there anyway to reduce the lag?
mods are,
sti version 8 bottom end,
cosworth gaskets,
arp head bolts,
version 3/4 sti heads/cams,
550cc injectors with fpr, and parallel rail mod,
walbro,
decat,
front mount,
prod forgot some bits. eventually a simtek but just remap for now. i need to decide on turbo dont want something too laggy but was hoping for 350 - 400bhp fingers crossed. any advice on turbo or any parts i would benefit from much appreciated.

Probably AVCS heads will help reduce lag

ive got a friend with 16g running 352bhp proven at surrey (std open deck) 3yrs now
another running a 18g on 550's pushing 370bhp again at surrey. (std Ra cdb) over a year.
Iam aiming to run a 20g or either an md321h and make 400bhp+

id go with an andy forrest 20g on exchange new £550 or 2nd hand of here £300+

The 20G isn't as laggy as most think it is, I've ran mine on a 2.0L and now a 2.1 Stroker, it isn't any more laggy than any other turbo of the same size.

Like every other bigger sized turbo theree has to be a compromise, what you loose down below you make up for it later on.

I'm running a Harvey Smith TD05 20g on my 2.5 conversion. It also has FMIC.

Lag is not really noticeable. The car was mapped by Bob Rawle.
