Default its like misses on high boost ?????

ive got a 1994 wrx import exhaust and air filter thing someone may have wound the boost up a bit but not sure. helpp - it starts fine hot or cold idles fine doesnt miss a beat but when you boot it mainly in first it gets to about 4-5000 rpm and its like it misses or a boost cut its weird cant figger it out.

might be a fuel-cut kickin in coz your runnin too much air flow, assuming its not been re-mapped to run the mods. if it is fuel-cut it'll be a really violent shunt as it goes on boost. Im sure theres guys on here that can provide more information than me tho im a scooby newbie myself really mate.

ok mate thanks i im sure it hasnt been remapped needs doing really. it done it today and it did feel like a hard shunt. cheers

hi mate does it happen then correct itself??? if it does then its fuel cut, happens at 1.2 bar of boost, get ur self a boost gauge see wot its doin. If it is fuel cut then get urself a fuel cut defender.

Check your coil packs for cracks.

Or clutch slip. Buying a FCD won't resolve the underlying issue

+1. That is asking for trouble. It has fuel cut for a reason and bypassing it is a big no no

sounds like fuel cut, turn the boost down and see if it still happens, does the cel flash at all ?

ive got a boost gauge and it reeds 1.2 bar at full boost. so you think turn the boost down should sort it ? roughly ? cheers

the plugs are all the same had them out today and the coils are sweet as to.

the clutch is fine doesnt slip or anything.

turn it down and try it, does the engine check light flash when it happens ?

did you take the ends off of the coil packs? the place to look for cracks, is under the rubber cap.
