does it sound like you have left a can of wd40 in the foot well or boot?
I had a bang/knock up until monday which has now gone after having 4 bushes replaced (2 on each side)
We had frist 4t it was a shocker but when you actually got into the back of the car while it was moving it was defiantly coming from the floor and once on the ramp could see where the subframe has been hitting as the bush has degraded
4 little bushes and some labour later all sorted. Mine was a 02 bugeye, with 80k ish on the clock
I think that part replaced where called beam mount bush and tie bar/hub bushes, have a look at power flex webiste - http://www.powerflex.co.uk/i/product...%20to%2007.pdf
