Default UK 2001 Bugeye

Hi Guys,

Last time I had a Bugeye I bought it quite modified and had over 320bhp, this time round I've bought a bog standard one with not even a single mod.

So my question is, what are the first steps to get some more power, im not looking for anything drastic but a bit more would be great.

It's a 2001 UK WRX

Thanks, Yodi

This is the bog standard new one, you can see why I need to play about with it

And this is my old one, still a long way to go to make the new look like my old

Thanks mate,

So Panel over cone?

Remaps are great but arent they £600 + ?

Is there any more info on the boost solenoid change?

Many thanks

The mapper decides on the appropriate increased boost levels, throughout the rev range, within the map...

Prob in the days when you added a mechanical bleed valve or MBC, or altered the wastgate actuator rod's length.

You can do that to any turbo car, but ECU can't control it - could be dangerous. Do it properly and safely - get a professional remap.

Hi matey form TD04 you will see at least 1.3bar and 270-280bhp.And you don't need boost controller at moment,OE ECU have excellent boost controller for 1.5-1.7bar.

if you go for the prodrive 3 port boost solenoid it is dirrect plug into the original loom will require a remap but i beleive that the mapper can get a little higher boost and better boost controle
