Default How to set up dump valve!!!!

Im just wondering is there anything you have to do to set up a atomespheric dump valve other than just swap it over and put a blanking plug in? like mapping or anything? Also what power increase would you see with a G Reedy FMIC?

the valve is a straght swap for the oe (thats if you want to). you wont see much of an increase in power by fitting a front mount with out having it mapped to accomerdate the cooler air, not hoping the worst or say it cant be done but you will end up with one big flat four paper weight if you if you bung all that on with out sorting a map to suit.

Don't know about any power gains.

But you will be £500+ light in the wallet department.

Not a bad thing though.

Westy: where are you getting your ideas from, mate?

Or are you just making it up as you go along?

Changing just the fronts is going to upset the handling, don't bother. Greddy chav valve - dont bother, it will upset the fueling & cause bore wash. FMIC is a good idea on a 94 car as the TMIC is sh1te. Get it mapped as you will breed the MAF rescaling atthe very least.

get it running properly first, i have seen your posts over the last few weeks, once she is up and running bng on then think about mods if any, but you must remember the all important re-map after you have fitted items such as de-cats and fmic, as for a dump valve i would put a re-circ on mate

After fitting FMIC and K&N, after a remap i got an increase of 30bhp and 20lb. 310bhp to 340bhp.

Then you need to start with the brakes, your 2 pots wouldnt stop a babies pram from rolling down a hill, they are abismal, you can go for 4 pots or look in the group buy section, not exactly cheap if your on a budget but probably the best modification you can do (besides an uprated oil pump).
You also have to understand that everything you do to increase the power will have an effect on the car, so the more power the more strain on the clutch, gearbox, engine etc, older engine, more likely to have issues, big vicious circle!
