Yes, i would check the gaps. I have had them any where from 1mm to 0.5mm out of the box.

If you are running a little extra power/boost, it will be worth closing a little to 0.65mm-0.70mm, or even upgrading to 7's.

0.65-0.07mm is a good setting for the plug (a larger gap can cause a missfire under full throttle). You would use a 7 heat range if you are running more power than std.

^^ I'm using 8's at that gap which are fine at 1.5bar yet mis-fire at 1.8bar ... any ideas why that might be (car is circa 450hp)?

I run R7434-8 which have the smaller tip and no probs at 2 bar
i'd take yours out and check the ceramic has no cracks . easy way to check is with dirty fingers rub round the ceramic and if there is a crack the dirt/ grease will show the crack up
check gapping 0.65 and if no joy i'd check coil pack /packs
