Default TD04L and IHI VF48 turbo oil feed pipes

Hi, I have a 2006 WRX and have just purchased a good second hand IHI VF48 turbo from a low mileage 09 sti as an upgrade. This should just be a bolt on upgrade for my car.

However, the turbo has arrived without the 2x oil feed pipes. Can anyone tell me if the existing pipes from my standard TD04L turbo will bolt straight on? Will I need new or different washers, pipes etc?

Thanks in advance. Andy

Hi. Nope. Found out that as far as I know the standard oil feed pipes from the TD04L will not fit a VF 35, 43, or 48 type turbo.

Did find a seller on fleebay that was selling a whole fitting kit including gaskets and all pipes (around £50 delivered).

Try this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

They assured me they would fit my vf48. Best to double check yourself.

Good luck. Andy

Still have it in the box along with my new hyperflow TMIC and a few extra bits. Still need to buy new exhaust bits and a few other things then going to do everything at the same time and get it mapped. Will be done April/May I should think.

I`m in much the same position. Got an APS TMIC, Walbro and vf48...just need to sort an exhaust. Trouble is I want a quiet one and everybody else seems to want noisy!! At the moment I`m thinking of a Cobra 200 cell downpipe and Revolution system. Then going to get it mapped by Duncan at Racedynamics....should be fun...Oh....then the clutch!

Same as you mate. Cobra 200 cel for me and cobra mid box to make it slightly less noisy then off to Duncan for his magic! Sorted!

Cobra told me this week their quietest system was the 200 cell downpipe and Trackday system....just thought I`d tell you that! Have ordered the install kit from Japan so hopefully will have enough bits to get the turbo fitted.

Best be ready for the clutch haha, wish I had thought of that sooner would have done it first but oh well can't win them all. Cobra is good exhaust that's what I have but mine is loud (ish).

Good luck with finding the pipes and can't go wrong with Duncan mapping.

Thanks for that...maybe a good idea to get the clutch done first!
