Default What a load a' clutch

Ok so I know have come to the conclusion I need a new clutch. Everytime boost kicks in, revs shoot up but little movement However if it's gotta be done, may as well do it properly. So my question for debate is...

Do I stick in a standard clutch, or go for an upgraded one? And does anyone have any prices that they know of when it comes to replacing a clutch?

I have a 98 UK Turbo, Fsh etc.. No mods at all 105k

Cheers muchly......

if you dont intend to do any mods and you dont mind the feel of a standard clutch then i would stick with a standard.

i could be wrong but i think a standard clutch will out last a performance one

Personally I'd weigh up how much a SUBARU clutch will cost or see how much a Helix one will cost.

As above if you have no plans to mod the car then just get a clutch for standard power mate.

Get onto David at APi & buy one of his Exedy organic clutches, they are good for 350 BHP & have a pedal feel the same as a std clutch.

Standard replacement Exedy Organic will be the best solution. No need to go to the additional expense of uprated.

Thanks for all the replies. Seems as though the above clutch is prefered and at a good price too. I have someone to fit it for me so no Probz there. Iv only had the scooby 2 weeks so I haven't had the chance to feel full boost yet due to the clutch slipping. Should be better when its done. ;-)

Would I need to change the flywheel If I put an exedy orgabic clutch into a standard UK turbo?

No, you will need to inspect it though and skim if needed (on my car the flywheel has always needed a skim).
