Default Removing boost +map sensor

As i'am now running my own boost control, I'am not in need of the factory one,
and the clicking from it does my head in.
The only problem is when i unplug it the engine managment light comes up,
is there any way of removing these items and not having the light come on afterwards?
kind regards

No. These items must stay wired and in place. I have quietened my BCS by connecting a short piece of silicone hose from the turbo inlet to the actuator outlet (top and middle port on BCS). It doesn't totally cure it but does make it less annoying.

Not strictly true, a resistor can be used to fool the ECU. A 333ohm 1W resistor should work fine in order to remove the Boost solenoid - it has been working on a friends uk classic for years. Make sure the pipes are connected such that you don't get a vacuum leak causing the MAF to read wrong. The MAP sensor is still required in almost all set ups.

Some aftermarket boost controllers have an input for the original wiring which just has a resistor in it to load the signal from the ECU so it thinks the solenoid is there.
