Unless it is a pre '95 import you will need at least one cat in place for MOT emissions pass.

I'm well aware of how the MOT works Knighty.

I actually reported my VTS operator to VOSA this year as he new less than i did and was an arshole about it.

I was mearly advising you of the fact that, you would have to swap once a year to gain a pass.

Default what section do i need?

Hi, i have a 1993 import, the " turbo up pipe" has blown/cracked.

All of the replacement parts i have seen on the internet all say "De-Cat" on them.

Is there a Catalytic converter in this piece of the system on my car? and do i need it?

where else do i have them? i think it might be worth replcing the whole system but unsure if i need the Cats or not.

New on here so any help would be great.

Thanks

I'd recommend Duncan (race dynamix). he did my set up - well happy with the performance and he's a good chap to talk things through with

Thanks very much for the help dj219957 , thats great news.

Is it necessary to remove or drop engine mounts to replace this part as i have been told that i need to.

Apologies for what i would imagine are deemed silly questions but as im doing this on my driveway the more info i have before hand the better. lol

Drop the d/p and the driver side header, then pull and turn the up-pipe out from undernieth. Mine was the OE one with all the heatshield and sh1te on it, but the replacment was just a pipe so went back in loads easier.

You can attack them from the top, not much easier as you have pull the Turbo and related bits.

Just get a pair of ramps and take your time.

And don't foget the new studs gaskets, you 'will' need them.
