Default 95 sti not turning over after full rebuild?

hi, ive just finnished putting everything back on a bare shell, on trying to start it for the first time, it wont turn over,
on turning the key to the ignition (lights on dash) the fuel pump kicks in but turning it to the start position there is only a click from a relay in the rear, no starter motor noise at all,
ive checked all fuses in both boxes and there ok,
please please please throw some suggestions my way, im stumped.
thanks, phil.

Bad earths, dodgy solinoid on starter, Giive it a few chaps with a hammer, or the battery is needing charged up.

Sounds like your battery is on the way out. How old is it?
