Default Any ideas on power rating for the below spec?

I guys and gals,

Not a regular poster but a very long time lurker. I have a MY97 Facelift UK Turbo and have very recently started having a few issues with the bottom end. I was always planning to upgrade this and as such have already changed and upgraded Simtek ECU by JGM, Walbro fuel pump, pressure regulator, injectors 550's, AGX Shox, Eibach springs, alloy droplinks, 4 pot front brakes and some other cosmetic pieces.

What I really want to know is I have been looking all this week for a replacement short engine/bottom end as my old lump has started leaking oil badly and instead of patching her up it's time she got a new lease of life.
I am seriously considering a couple of the EJ20 blocks being advertised on SN but have just noticed my local Subaru specialist (Len @ Subaru4you) offers something of a package deal. I've not managed to get hold of Len to confirm the full spec of the engine as I work very long unsociable hours.

What do you all think is the power rating of the following bottom end?

2.0 ODB
Sti14 Nitrided Crankshaft
Sti9 Conrods
ACL Race Series Main and Big End Bearings
Forged Pistons

Obviously I know that depending on what forged pistons etc are fitted will make a difference, but lets suppose they built the rest of the engine to go with the crank and conrods what sort of power rating would the above engine achieve?

Any and all help and advice is much appreciated.

Cheers for the help there

Doing a search on these forums for "subaru4you" brings back nothing but glowing reports that I can find. I've also certainly never had an issue with them and they really seem to know their stuff and alot cheaper than I expected each time I go in there.

Right thought I'd update people as you have all been really really helpful so far.

Car has gone into Subaru4you in Newbury this morning. Decided to bite the bullet and have Len build me a nice new 2.1 Stroked + Forged bottom end and reskim my old heads in preparation for the next steps.

A shame I can't afford it all in one hit, but the engine will need a 1000 miles of non boost to run in nicely. By which time I should be able to afford the MD555 Turbo Dynamics and a new FMIC. But at this point will still be restricted by my very old and tired gearbox and other running gear so will be stopping the tune at about 350bhp until all this has been replaced. Once new gearbox, diffs and props are in I will be going for the full tune of around the 400bhp mark.

Once she's mechanically sound and running aswell as I can afford she will be going into a bodyshop to be restored to look like the day she came out of the showroom.

Lol I might have to have a chat and see if Simon @ JGM will do me a bulk order discount, as the car is likely to need 4-5 remaps in the coming months.

Once I can get the first few pics of the new block I will and get a project thread going. But I have already seen most of it in various states around Lens workshop and I'm already excited.

I think you may be in for a shock in a second or 10!
Subaru 4 pot brakes wont be up to the job for 400bhp, neither will your clutch or 5 speed box, you will also need a front mounted intercooler (not mentioned), the 550's are too small, more like 650's for what you need, plus do you then need an oil cooler etc.
You are looking at expensive to where you want to be, and reliability will cost more than a few hundred quid (note that a PPG'd 5 speed box is circa 5k newly built), though the 6 speed is cheaper but you will need the rear diff also (circa 2.5k excl fitting).

as for the subrau 4 pots you could use the god speed kit like i am and there up to the job and the 550cc may only get you near the 400 mark as mine have hit 390bhp at 83 per cent the gear box well tony is right on the money there you will need the rear diff shafts and hubs and subaru type r brakes or you can find an old r160 diff like me and just fit the box and diff to your old hubs and shafts and an a good ap or helix cluth will do the job a hybrid fmic from harvey smith it dooes cost a bit to get a classic to that power but then len a subaru 4 u should really be guiding you and advising you of this
