Default ej22 short block

ok, I was going over my receipt when the rebuild by subaru caught my eye. all the codes were ej22?? and it mentioned replacing with short block.

Assuming this is a 2.2 and its still in the car how would I be able to tell ?

At the front of the block, on the top, in the centre.

If you look down the side of the alternator, you should be able to see it clearly marked on a raised plaque.

If you have a 22b then it should be standard but you didnt say what car or why the engine had been rebuilt by subaru?

Aw well, unlucky. Id be asking subaru why the reciepts say ej22, when its an ej20. Maybe they have conned an unsuspecting customer.
