ej22 short block

ok, I was going over my receipt when the rebuild by subaru caught my eye. all the codes were ej22?? and it mentioned replacing with short block.

Assuming this is a 2.2 and its still in the car how would I be able to tell ?

At the front of the block, on the top, in the centre.

If you look down the side of the alternator, you should be able to see it clearly marked on a raised plaque.

Aw well, unlucky. Id be asking subaru why the reciepts say ej22, when its an ej20. Maybe they have conned an unsuspecting customer.
