my classic wont start!!
Went out in car this morning car started and drove fine, made a couple of different stops throughout morning, car was starting fine..... Then!! started car, it sounded a little lumpy, drove it for approx half a mile, and it was still lumpy, so parked it up, and left it for an hour, whilst arranging a tow home, got the car home, and tried to start it whilst having a check under bonnet for loose plugs/wires, or hoses fuel lines ect, and she wouldnt start, tried bumping and jumping and still wont turn over, doesn't sound like its fireing, poss starving of fuel??? anyone experienced this or know of anything i can check that will cause it? all fuel hoses are in place, and plugs are clipped in tidy.

remove the back seat back and undo the 4 screws for the pump cover, now 2 peeps needed, while one turns ignition on u put hand on top of fuel pump and see if they feel the fuel pump prime, if all good there remove a coil pack and a spark plug and turn it over to see if it is sparking u will need to rest plug against block so it makes earth and so it can spark, if no spark then u need to check cam and crank sensors.........

you should be able to hear the fuel pump primeing fairly clearly when you turn the key ti acc1. If you cannot hear it then removing the rear seat as P600wrx suggests will be the way.
I'm very surprised that there are no fault codes showing. You are only connecting the 2 black connectors i take it?
Tbh, it could be anything from the fuel pump to the MAF and anything inbetween.
A few more details about the car would also help, MY, Mods etc.

havn't done the test for fault codes, tbh wouldnt know where to start on a scooby, done them before on other cars, but dont know where to find plug ect on a scoob, the car is a K reg import, only mods it has is a 3-3 1/2 inch straight through decat exhaust and a dump valve, everything else is standard.

Here is the how to.
And another here.
Remove the lower dash panel from the drivers side and you will see 3 black wires with connectors, join them together and the turn on the ignition. do not try and start it. The CEL will flash a sequence at you. these are the fault codes.
