Prob with mates P1
Me mate thought he blew a big end but it doesn't sound like the three times I done mine in!

If the noise is coming from around the offside rear of the engine it could be the number 4 piston slapping. Quite common Im told.

big end bearings,, sounds to me like the oil pump has starved the cylinders.. my v3 did same thing,, sounded identical to that..
gutted for him matey.

That sound well fukk'd to me.
Has it been run on low octane fuel, or with low fuel levels?
Has it ever been rebuilt?
P1's are prone.

thats a rebuild i'm afraid, sounds like big end to me!
deffo wouldnt be running it anymore especially revving like that!
p1's are prone to it i'm afraid!

Sounds big end alright.
Defo terminal and as above do not start again do more damage, risk conrod cracking block etc.

Time for your mate to get his wallet out buddy, sounds just like my first engine that went pop prior to it letting go completely
It's a horrible sound !

mine went christmas day,, only went to pick sister inlaw up from work so she wernt late for the dinner. came off a round about sideways, straightened up, put power down and knock, knock..... gutted!
