Default Help!!!!! My99 2000 Turbo Tuning And Modding

I have recently bought a 2000 turbo on a 99 plate , i am looking to start squeesing some power out of it and dont know what to get and what order to get it in, was thinking de cat up pipe then de cat down pipe then silicone turbo hoses then a 255 walbro fuel pump, also dont know wether to adjust my actuator on my turbo to give me around 14-15 psi of boost.

Dont go all out at me if this is stupid, as i am posting here due to me not knowing and asking for advice.

Thanks
Lee

Welcome. First thing to do is read this: https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...lp-advice.html

Most of the questions you are asking have already been asked, and answered, with this particular model year of car, many times before. As such, the best advice to give you is, as per the link above, to utilise the knowledge base that already exists here.

The one thing I can tell you now is to leave the actuator alone. Boost pressure on these cars is managed electronically by the ECU. If you tighten the actuator, you won't actually increase held boost to any noticeable degree, you will eventually cause fluctuation and inconsistent performance.

There is also no point fottomg a "de cat up pipe", when there isn't a cat in the standard one. Have a good search, and a good read, and you'll soon learn a lot.

There's no cat in the uppipe .Go for full decat, panel filter,255 walbro fuel pump and ecutek remap and PFR7B spark plugs. If your lucky 280bhp .Hope that helps you with modding to gain more power

I had all this on my previous car, a MY00 Classic but with a vf 35 turbo mapped to 1.3 bar. It was a very quick car, but cost for a uprated clutch to handle the power, approx 320 BHP. Steve.
