listen for any nioses, check for evedince of any oil leeks and check for any blue smoke coming from the exhaust as this indicates worn turbo or valve stem oil seals,go over the service history and find out as much as you can,if u can get a hpi check, have test drive before u part with any money and when u do make sure its boosting properly, just try and check everything over and beware of any signs of the clutch slipping as they are not cheap to repiare.

My '03 wrx has done over 100,000 miles with no problems running around 285 bhp for half its life and 320bhp for the rest. So long as there is good history of servicing and oil changes should be fine. What did you pay for it out of interest with that mileage?

is it standard or moded as with that sort of mileage i wouldnt think of upgrading the power on that sort of mileage.in all honesty they are quick enough the way they are.but if u go for any mods remember that the car has to be remapped every time, but i could be wrong on this.
