Can anybody let me know how you check the timing on a scoob???
i have a timing light but i doesnt pick up off the leads??

you cant adjust the timing on a scoob only with a select moniter which i dont think you can do with a my93

Not being funny, but I thought all that Japanese technical wizardry adjusted the timing for you automatically? i.e. if you use 98 RON for ages then use 95RON (sacrilege - and dangerous - don't do it!) the ECU will automatically retard the timing to stop detting ?

Then if you start putting 98 RON in it'll slowly appreciate the fact that it can advance the timing and will do so until the point of pinking?

I thought one could sit back and relax when it came to scoob ignition timing....I hope I aint wrong !

your not wrong, i just wanted to check the timing as the car is misfiring, it was for my own peice of mind more than anything!!!
