Default my scoob will not start without full throttle

I have a 95 impreza turbo. I am having problems working out why it will not start unless it has full throttle while the engine is turning over, even then it will still take around 6 or 7 turns before it will start. This problem is only really apparent when the engine is cold.

My boost solinoid is clicking at lower revs and which causes the car to missfire or almost like the fuel is being cut.

Final problem i have is overboost, the car boosts fine but when it gets to max boost the turbo cuts and causes the car to die.

I am new to having a scooby and am just looking for some advice on where to start with this.

Could all of these problems be linked and being caused by the same thing?

Will appreciate anyones help.

Phil

Firstly, are you keeping your foot COMPLETELY off the throttle when trying to start it? If you as much as feather it, it causes the engine to flood, which can then only be started by doing what you say.

if i keep my foot off the throttle completely it wont start at all, if i keep my foot flat to the floor it will start after about 6-7 turns of the engine.

You could spend weeks, and wadges of cash trying to geuss at this one mate.

Perhaps a visit to a professional diagnostic centre and a full service would be a better use of your time and money.
