How much do you want to spend? I blew a head gasket on my WRX and had the engine rebuilt by EngineTuner into 2.1 stroker.

Forged Piston
H Rods
2.5 Crank
Cosworth Gaskets
Uprated Oil Pump etc etc

Not cheap but should be pretty much bullet proof.

Again depends how far you want to go but a 2.1 Stroker with all your standard bits, turbo etc put back your looking at a little over £4K. I've had other stuff done like new Turbo, Full decat etc. New bigger injectors are going in with uprated fuel pump when final remap is done. I'm still running at the moment.

Best to contact EngineTuner in Plymouth. Speak to Alan or Martyn. Top notch engine building facility. A great people to deal with.

EngineTuner have 2.1 Strokers running in excess of 500 BHP. I'll be running mid 300's so it should last for ever

Typically a remap, bigger injectors, and uprated turbo do the trick. Along with exhaust, perhaps an air filter also.

Engine wise - forged pistons are around 125 quid each, rods are also 500 ish for a set of quality forged ones. Crank can vary from 300-3000.

In addition to the 2.1 stroker build I have done the following.

SC36 Turbo
Full decat
Magnex Back Box
Pink Injectors
Uprated fuel pump
STi TMIC
Standard air box with "Green" panel filter.

Still running in so it hasn't had the rolling road / final mapping by Martyn yet but he reckons it should make 350 / 360 without too many problems
You've got some advantage though as yours started as an STi. Mine was only a WRX with just over 200 bhp.
