Launch control vs f*cked clutch?
Had LC installed a few weeks ago & used it in anger last night just to test it out. Took off like a scalded cat which is albeit with quite a nasty burning smell too Is that normal & can I do anything to avoid it?
Cheers, TX.

^^ Exedy API clutch. 398hp at last RR albeit was 1.4bar boost (peaked at 1.5 then dropped back to 1.4) whereas 1.8bar at moment (peaks at 1.9 then drops back to 1.8) - guess perhaps 430-450hp now? Torque was 380 ish back then too.

I think mine [ 395 hp / 394 ft lbs ] is beginning to get tatty as the pedal is high BUT it still grips and doesn't slip or judder.
The car is for sale and l'll put a new one in before it goes.

All depends on how you are what you are using it for.
If it's on the strip you want as much traction as possible (which is a fine art in balancing against it bogging down), so you would perhaps lower pressure and use the grippiest tyres you could. Not very transmission friendly though.
If you are using it on the road just for a laugh, I would suggest you don't want to over inflate your tyres to get it to break traction easier (transmission friendly).
Launch Control can be a pain in the backside as it may need to be set-up for each type of surface and tyre combination to get the best from it. It's a balancing act between too much spin and it bogging down.
