MD321V on a 2ltr, not the cheapest but is one of the best and is well known to deliver the goods.

I would go with a MD321H or if budget is an issue maybe 20G, you might get away with the standard injectors but could be worth upgrading to 650cc injectors.

Another vote for MD321H or may consider TD05-18G(no eBay copy, but proper one from Harvey or Andy Forest),deffo you are need bigger injectors 650cc

Not sure you have a "JDM" bug if it is a Prodrive STI.

md321v , would this not be overkill for what im lookin ??

what would be advantages of goin twinscroll , and what would need changed ?

md321h is one of the turbos on my shortlist , as are the 650's . also af 20g on list but im presuming md would out perform 20g , roughly how much better is it re , spool/holding boost ??

she deffo a "jdm" prodrive styled bug with roof vent

A "V" would be way overkill and certainly not suited to an OE 2ltr. This is a 500+bhp turbo suited to something bigger and built to take that kind of power.

Apart from the MD321H and 20g, you have offerings from ScoobyClinic "SC" range and also Harvey on here sells a range of turbos that would also meet your requirements.

1 md321h
2 sc40
3 andy f / harvey 20g
4 Litchfield lm400
5 s206 ( 400 -500)
6 vf43
7 gt30
8 18g ( worried it wouldnt be enough)

these seem to be my main options , jus lookin to see what people more in the "know" think ??

HS380
HS420
SC42

18g will prob only give 380 tops (ave. 350-380). Same goes for the VF43 and HS380.

Whereas the 321H and 20g could make 400 (the H more likely too).

I feel where you're coming from. I went through all the same faff awhile ago for my 2.0lt blob. In the end I visted a rolling road and went through the dyno runs for various setups and spoke to a number of tuners who fit and test them AND turbo suppliers, e.g. Andy F, Turbodynamics, Racingdynamics and Lateral performance (Yup I spoke all of them for hours, except Andy who I traded emails with!), trawled NASIOC which has far larger community than here and I was torn between the 321H and the AFP5-20G. In the end I bought a 321T (Yes T not H).

Here's the kicker. The consensus was that the fastest spooling turbo to get close to 400 was the 321H but it was UNLIKELY to get there on my 2.0 without alot of supporting work. However, the MD321T has very similar response characteristics to the H but is good for 450HP and will easily make 400 all day long for me. Mark at Lateral told me about this and since he builds them I dare anyone to call him a liar! Moreover, on the maps I saw at the tuner there was no point in the range where it flowed less air than my VF35 which is a very fast spooling unit anyway. I heard people claim that the 'T' wouldn't be good on a 2.0 and would be laggy, (note the term wouldn't!) However, people who HAD done it on a 2.0 immediately responded and said that was boll*x and they love it. No-one had a bad thing to say about it so I ponied up £900 and now I have one. The irony is that just before I was about to fit it, I noted the new 2011 car coming this year and then that there is a new design engine coming next year so I'm currently torn as to whether to fit it or buy the new STI next year with the new engine design and fit it to that!!

The short version is that, according to the tuners, the T will hit 400 happily for you, it won't melt your pistons and it won't make you car slower lower down the rev range. I wish I could show you the flow maps but they were paper and I wasn't allowed to take them.

axel , thank you . nice lil bit of info there and il prob follow your lead with the "t"

was slightly worried as was told to get the smallest turbo for what power your looking , but by the sounds of it , seems to be the one to go for .

mac,

i ran a Harvey 20G on my bug and with supporting mods and 97 ron plus NF it made 406 on Deltadash

I then went for a 321T car was on ecutek and made 426 again on DD. Now on a Syvecs and the car pulls even harder and smoother.
Need to take it to England for a rolling road run to she what is has.
The 20G was great but i wanted more so after looking into it went straight for a T, JGM is running a 321V on a 2.0litre blobeye just to see what it will do. He got around 470bhp with a quick map but has not really had time to mess about with it yet.

There's a billet 20g option now too I understand. So could be worth considering.
