Default 2.0 WRX Turbo mpg?

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a 2003 WRX Turbo... just a quick question to any current owners...
how many mpg do you get on an average run? (unmodded, and not thrashing the car, just driving steady)
Thanks

I just got 198 miles to 7/8 of a tank! I do have a heavy foot. I can get 300+ with a lot of motorway involved though

PS If you are concerned about fuel, perhaps it is the wrong car for you. 20-25 mpg would be a good ballpark figure for me.

Not too bad then!
At the moment i've got a freelander TDi (dont ask!) doing 26mpg! Used to have a Leon cupra and now decided I want petrol, turbo and 4x4! So seems the best option
Just need to find a standard one! lol

Welcome to SN Fella hope you enjoy

Rite then if your buying a scoob and worrying about mpg already then dont buy one in my opinion its all about the mph not the mpg lol
But honestly I didnt buy a scoob and prob alot of ppl on here didnt buy one knowing or was even bothered about what mpg you get.

To answer your questioin though on average about 25ish around town, long distance 30ish and driving it like a scooby should be between 10-15mpg.

Hope that helps

Rich

**lady, not fella! haha!**
not really worried about it as i used to have a 60 round mile trip to work... now its only 16!
So either way I will save money on fuel
Just wanted to check so that i know whether or not its running ok when i get it as i've heard a few horror stories!

As soon as you start messing about with it (and you will ) it drops like a stone! Mine gives me about 20 on a gentle run and about 8-10 on a thrash

05 WRX with PPP, 24-25 mpg average on the daily 30 mile commute + weekend.

Absolute best in 17,000 miles and 22 months ownership - 29 mpg on a tank.

Default economy

just to muddy the waters
jdm classics have lower gearing than euro-uk spec cars but have lower gross weight to haul around.
lower spec td04 turbo cars will probably give the best mpg at off boost speeds-doubt you,ll ever see much more than high 20s though.

power sapping 4 wheel drive systems dont help at all.
Get used to filling the tank every couple of days,it,ll be your biggest bill on the car if your using it every day

well all i can say is i wish my

05 wrx ppp was getting close to some of the figures on here
it had a few extra parts added like most

but i was getting closer to 13mpg around town and on a run around 20mpg

55 quid to fill or there abouts and was lucky to get 230 to a tank

I get around 180 - 200 miles per tank. Not got a clue what that is in mpg, not right bothered either, if it needs juice it needs juice.
