Cambelts. Are they all the same??
Evening chaps,
I am replacing the cambelt on my car, and have been informed that my car has a different cambelt from what the parts shop sells.
Apparently, the gates cambelt kit for my 2002 wrx has all the tensioners/rollers and belt needed.
However my mate at the garage where i'm having the belt fitted says that it doesn't fit!!
Mark @ lateral performance is going to open his shop for me tommorrow so i can get a proper belt for my car (on a sunday! ) he recons that the belts should all be the same.
Anyone with info care to shed some light on this for me???
Thanks,
Matt

Local parts place in Walthamstow east london.
Smells fishy to me.
They say my car is on the changeover year, i think they need to lay down the crack pipe.

there are 2 different belts for the turbos one for the early ones and the other does the later ones and they do have a different amount of teeth so it's possible you have the wrong one
