Battery & Sigma Alarm

Battery & Sigma Alarm
Hi,
Just a quick question, I've got a 2005 WRX which has the standard Sigma (M30 I think) alarm and just want to know what will happen if the battery gets disconnected for a period of time? Will the alarm just keep going off and/or is there anything I can do to prevent this? And what about the immobiliser, will it have any effect on this as I don't want to reconnect it to find that it won't start?!
Cheers!
Bobby

As long as teh remote works, it should be fine.
There is a chance the alarm may go off immediately after the battery is disconnected. But it if it does, just leave it; it will only go off for a max of 30 seconds and then shut up (it won't respond to the remote, as the siren runs on its internal battery). Once it shuts up, it won't bother you there after.
It'll also sound on reconnection, but just press the button on the remote.
If you are paranoid the nieghbours will call the police...stick a rag over the siren

Thank you! I'm not worried about the neighbours, just whether I would have any problems or would need to do something with the PIN number when it was restarted if it was disconnected for a while
