5w50 oil what you think??

Whats your honest opinion on 5w50, as it seems too good to be true for cold weather use.
Nice and sloppy on starting but keeps its viscosity at higher temps.

Whats your opinion, and have any of you used it??

Cheers fella, kind of unsure as I have read good reviews and also bad lol.
I know they use thickeners and that they break down after a while, and that after 1000 its basically 10w40 lol, dunno how true that is tho.
