Default What's a good price for a WRX S ?

Has anyone got an idea what would be a fair price for a brand new 2010 WRX S in WR blue ? The dealer is asking 22,200 but I suspect there is room for bargaining

As we currently have a 2002 bug-eye WRX in blue with 82K miles on, what might I reasonably expect to get for that ? I'm guessing around the 3K mark . Its got a few carpark dings but has moretti lights and is one owner.

Im sure you could negotiate with the deler with the new one, But not so clued up on the newer models.

I think 3k would be a bit low priced for your current model, Classics are still costing that now (If in good condition). For some reason The Bug eyes seem to be the least favourite among buyers
Depends on the spec of yours?

Cheers Danny

Its a bog-standard WRX apart from the headlights.

Full service history (all Subaru franchise except the last two).

My plan is to part-ex but I'm trying to work out what would be a good deal and what would be "taken for one".

Thanks for the input.

Good classics holding their value better than bugs and catching up on blobs. I think 3k may be about right from a dealer on trade in and they might even take the p!ss and offer you less! Private sale would be better, but a lot of cars out there.

Yeah depends which dealership. Whatcar.com value it at £3815 for P/X. Also none for under £3500 on Pistonheads. Im pretty sure you would get her sold privately for £3500 quite easily.

All the best.

Danny.

Thanks for the advice guys. Really gave me some confidence to barter.

I've done the deal tonight and I got well over 4K as part-ex against the WRX-S asking price so I think I got a reasonable deal as I now don't have to worry about having two cars insured, messers coming looking at it etc.

Considering I only paid a few hundred more than I paid for the standard WRX 8 years ago, I'm quite pleased really.
