Default Lambda Sensor voltage

Hi

I have a 1993 JDM WRX fitted with a Bosch LS04 3-wire lambda sensor. When I measure the voltage across it, it reads a fairly constant 3v. A bit confusing since it should only read between 0 and 0.9v. When I rev it, it will go down to about 2.9v. Any ideas as to why its reading 3v??

Thanks

Just had a look at just lambda and they only recommend the LS01 and the LS02 for 1 and 3 wires respectivly. You may have the wrong sensor fitted

Just a thought, you are taking the voltage from the 'signal' wire and not across the heater - (neg) and +(pos).

Yes taking voltage from the signal wire. I looked on here and from previous posts Scott.t says either LS02 or LS04 is fine and they are both 3 wire sensors???

volts should swing fairly rapid when rev'd, it the volt's are slow to change then it's buggered anyhow, 2 types of common lambda make sure it's the correct type
