Default does any1 know what is causing this

hi

since my car has been remapped it boosts perfectly in every gear except 1st gear where when it gets to boost revs its like the car hits a brick wall . obviosly its quite violent when i accelerate hard . before the remap car pulled good in 1st . when it got remapped the mapper changed the plugged too as he said they were fried.

it boosts perfectly in all other gears . goes like stink too except in first . any ideas ?

its a v5sti
full decat . induction kit . recirc forge valve . induction kit . gt hybrid fmic imtercooler . it had a rebuild about a year back vf28 turbo and a simtec ecu with als andlc .

please can so e one point me in right direction of where i shud be looking. thanks

sounds like the car is overboosting in first then the ecu is cutting the boost like what happens if a decat is fitted without a remap had a simmilar problem with mine except was in 5th and not as dramatic just kind of stop pulling an had a cel flashing but a quick message to duncan and he squared it all away the car runs perfect now he really made the car feel brill could be sumat else just my experience mine is a newage though

Highly unlikely to be overboost in first.

You sure it isnt just the rev limit?

The symptoms you are describing do sound like overboost but as Duncan has already said this is highly unlikely to happen in 1st and not in any other gear. A problem that can cause the same sensation as overboost is if your boost solenoid has a bad/loose electrical connection and shuts off whilst you are generating boost, the only reason I suggest this is that the movement of the engine whilst accelerating hard in 1st is probably more than in any other gear . May be worth getting your mapper to do a diag for you?

Cheers Iain

The boost solenoid is mounted on the driver side inner wing under the bonnet.
