Default Need Urgent HELP clutch problem!! strange!

just came over to jersey last week and after a good drive my clutch has developed a bit of a burning smell (its an exedy and was fitted prob 10K ago so not old) anyway was driving to day and after pulling away not to hard the clutch pedal has now gotten half stuck in. its weird theres been no slipping or anything. a mate said could be a fluid leak (bottles topped up) does this likely or is the clutch gone? its still driiving but im not going to drive until its sorted. help appreciated guys.

Do you know whether a new exedy release bearing was fitted at the same time?

A couple of years ago when i was none the wiser i fitted the old release bearing back in, it failed, same symptoms. The burning smell was the clutch plate not fully releasing and it was effectively ridding the clutch even when it should be disengaged. The pedal only came half out because one of the loops on the release bearing was bent and the fork wasnt free to move as it should.

This is just my experience, could be something far simpler.

is the clutch return spring still in place, its located to the right of the rear engine mount underneath the intercooler.

have you tried lifting the peadal manualy

if all these are tried to no joy then Eternal rage may have hit the nail on the head.

if non of the above,
try changing master cylinder fluid - first thing to do before it gets expensive.

otherwise it could be a broken/damaged friction plate?
