hi all i have just got my impreza back and am trying to find out wot the car is the log book says wrx but the garage i take it to say its a version 4 sti?
its on a n reg but they say it should be a p/r reg as its an import

engine code is ej20kdw6he

transmission code ty752vbcaa

applied code gc8d48d

when i rebuilt the engine it is a open face block the same as an sti and has solid lifters with no oil ways

and all the body panels are very light ie bonnet boot lid doors

my frind has a w reg uk impreza and my bonnet doors and boot are really light compered to his

its running around 290/300 bhp with only a s/s exhaust on the rolers

Its an MY97 WRX
GC8D48D 280ps WRX 4 door

Panels are the same as any other scoob, bonnet will be aluminium, uk cars are steel, your car is actually heavier than a uk one btw

thanks for the reply i first own the car 4 years ago when it was first imported to the uk and i spoke to the dvla then and they said they are not interested ?
i bought the car 2 months ago from my friend i sold it to and rebuit it to its former glory
every thing i buy for the car is 97/98
the intercooler sits straight on top of the engine not to the right as well
wot is an MY97/98 impreza
