External wastegate plumbing
Need help guys as above, the problem is that the instructions say to connect
the side port of the gate via vacum from inlet before throttle plate, and as imprezas go the only vacum points on the inlet are after throttle plate.
I have a vacum point on the compressor housing of my turbo and that is before throttle plate so im presuming i use that, is this correct?

Yeah, it HAS to be before the throttle plate - i.e. the vac feed from the comp cover - as you need to prevent any overboost, i.e. the cracking open of the w/g, BEFORE the boost would otherwise get into the IM/engine.
All internal w/g's are controlled in this way - so can't see why external ones should work any differently.

Yes, connect the Normally Closed port on your solenoid (NC) to the turbo compressor outlet takeoff, and T piece to the side port of the gate.
Connect the COM port of the solenoid to the top of the gate
Connect the COM port of the solenoid to the top of the gate
